Tuesday Tip - How to de-funk your towels

Have you ever noticed that funky smell that emanates from your towels? Even if you've washed them a hundred times with detergent that smells like a field of lavender and costs a small fortune!

It's actually a build up of mildew, and no matter how many times you wash them, standard washing powder won't do the trick. Not to worry though Fresh is here to give you  the fluffiest and cleanest towels! Even fluffier than the towels at that weird but quaint B&B you once stayed at.

First thing is to put a load of towels in the washing machine with a cup of vinegar, on a hot wash. Once that load is done, run another load with half a cup of bicarbonate of soda, also on a hot wash.

The vinegar removes the mildew smell, and the bicarb strips the build up, leaving you with fluffy and clean towels.

Don't wash with any washing powder, the vinegar and bicarb is enough. Remember to also clean your washing machine regularly as build up can also occur in your machine.

Wishing you fresh smelling towels!
